BAMS (BACHELOR OF AYURVEDIC MEDICINE AND SURGERY)

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) is a professional degree focused on Ayurveda offered in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Ayurveda is a type of alternative medicine, and the study of Ayurveda is pseudoscientific while the practice can be classified as protoscience or unscientific.

The BAMS course is designed to provide extensive training and knowledge to graduates to pursue careers in various roles such as lecturer, therapist, business development officer, clinical trial coordinator, etc. BAMS course makes candidates learn the concept of Ayurveda and its application in offering different treatment options against diseases. Considered an alternative method of treatment, Ayurveda is based on the curative properties of herbs. 

Eligibility Criteria

 

  • Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized education board
  • Qualifying examinations

Eligibility Pass in BAMS from the colleges having CCIM recognition with 50% of marks for theory and practical separately in each subjects. Candidate should possess permanent or professional registration certificate of BAMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/State board/Universities/Deemed Universities. Age should not be more than 45 years. The candidate should be eligible in All India AYUSH PG Entrance Test (AIAPGET)
Duration 3 Years
