Operations Management (OM) is a business course that focuses on how organizations plan, produce, and deliver goods and services efficiently.

In simple terms, it teaches how companies make things work smoothly day-to-day—like turning raw materials into finished products or delivering services to customers on time and at low cost.

  • Design and manage production systems (factories, service processes)

  • Control quality of products/services

  • Manage inventory and supply chains

  • Improve efficiency and reduce waste

  • Plan capacity, scheduling, and workflow

  • Use data and analytics for decision-making
